What we would like to see in the FIFA 23 trailer
While the FIFA 23 reveal trailer may only be short, there are certain things we would love to see over the duration.
HyperMotion is back in FIFA 23, known as HyperMotion2.
The gameplay system was first introduced in FIFA 22, as a way to ensure the animations and movements of players were as realistic as possible.
Going into FIFA 23, it would be great if this allowed for more variety in the way you build an attack.
The majority of games you play, especially in Ultimate Team, you will concede at least one cutback.
At this point it’s a guaranteed goal, defenders are left in no man’s land and the attackers always nail the run.
If the movement could be improved slightly, to encourage players to try different things with how they attack it would make for a much more enjoyable experience.
Another improvement that HyperMotion could be the key to is knock-ons and headers. In the modern game knock-ons are pivotal to the way a lot of teams play, especially if they don’t want to play out from the back.
In FIFA 22, a knock-on never goes anywhere near where you would want it to, even if you have an unmarked target.
Hopefully, HyperMotion2 can help improve the above because what it did for the dribbling in FIFA 22, was amazing.
In FIFA 23, if it can drastically improve movement, it would make for a much more fulfilling experience.
We may not get to see it in action tonight, but we should get a deep dive very soon.

According to leaks, for the first time in FIFA Career Mode, you can now take control of a real manager and play out the rest of their career.
So if you’re just itching to prove Pep Guardiola can win the Champions League without Lionel Messi, or you wish to re-unite Marouane Fellaini and David Moyes for one last ride, then now is your chance.
It is still unknown if this will just be the managers currently in club football. What would make it really interesting is if they included international managers too as well as managers who are out of a job or retired.
Maybe you’ll finally be able to get Arséne Wenger that elusive Champions League win.
It seems unlikely this will get too much attention going into the reveal tonight, it’s likely Career Mode and the new features will get their own dedicated reveal in the coming weeks.
In previous FIFA’s you used to be able to start a player Career, with any player you like, retire and then go straight into management keeping your chosen players’ real face.
Hopefully, we will see this return in FIFA 23, as it was a great way of continuing the career of a player you loved, after they had gone past their best. It also feeds into being able to use real managers in the game.
In FIFA 16 Women’s National Teams were introduced to the game for the first time.
Now going into FIFA 23, we can see that expanded upon as there will be at least four Women’s Leagues introduced into the game.
It has been a long time coming, after the National Teams were first introduced, they didn’t bring much to the game other than in Kick-off.
Hopefully, this time around there may be more options with the Women’s teams than just to use them in Kick-off, with the sides potentially featuring in other game modes.
In order to celebrate this, Sam Kerr, the Chelsea and Australia forward, will be the first ever woman to feature on the front of a FIFA game as she appears alongside French forward Kylian Mbappé.
The leagues set to be introduced are:
- England: FA Women’s Super League
- USA: National Women’s Soccer League
- Germany: Frauen-Bundesliga
- France: Division 1 Féminine
Although there could be more, with Barcelona’s Women’s team currently not included. We should expect to see the Women’s teams in action for the first time in the reveal later today.
The return of Juventus: the death of Piemonte Calcio
The last time we saw the black and white stripes of The Old Lady was FIFA 20, and Serie A has been worse off for it.
Slowly, each team’s licensing is leaving the league with Inter Milan’s set to be missing by 2024. However, Juventus’ licensing may have returned, after their exclusivity deal with Konami’s eFootball expired.
Nothing has been confirmed yet about their return, but we may catch a glimpse of them later today in the official reveal of FIFA 23.
If they are back, it would be a very smart move to show Juventus in action, in licensed kits for the first time in years.
It’s also an opportunity to show off the return of Paul Pogba at the same time, a man who is incredibly marketable and recognized around the world.
Ultimate Team (FUT)
It’s still unclear on what we will see during the reveal of FIFA 23, and although it’s unlikely we’ll get any new detailed information about game modes, there is a chance we have an update on Ultimate Team.
Rumors are pointing towards a new chemistry system being introduced in FIFA 23, with the current system set to be completely binned off and replaced with stars.
As it stands, there is no concrete evidence it will happen, but it’s a rumor that’s spreading through the community.
It’s difficult to imagine how it may work, so clearing this up soon and truly explaining it will certainly be appreciated from within the community.
If this happens, it will be one of the biggest changes to Ultimate Team in recent years, with position changes also set to be changed for FIFA 23.
