Following its recent announcement, people are chomping at the bit to get information on the Resident Evil 4 Remake pre order. The earliest pre orders have now become available from certain retailers in certain regions, though the majority of online retailers have yet to list the game.
Is the Resident Evil 4 Remake live?
Some retailers are already listing the Resident Evil 4 Remake pre order.
So far UK retailer GAME is listing the Resident Evil 4 Remake pre order for PS5 and the Resident Evil 4 Remake pre order for Xbox One for £59.99.
So far from other retailers we haven’t seen much, but whilst official dates and other info is currently slim on the ground, we can make some estimations based on the previous Resident Evil Remake pre orders.
We do know that the Resident Evil 4 Remake release date is scheduled for 24th March 2023. Looking at the previous remake, for guidance, the Resident Evil 3 remake was available to pre order approximately 4 months before its release on April 3, 2020, following the confirmation of its release by Capcom on December 10, 2019.
If Capcom follows the same pattern, we hope to see Resident Evil 4 Remake pre orders go live from the majority of online retailers at some point in Q4 2022.
Resident Evil 4 Remake pre order bonus?
It’s very likely that there will be some sort of Resident Evil 4 Remake pre order bonus, though we don’t currently know what it will be. You can expect to see a standard bonus across all pre orders, plus specific retailers doing their own additional bonus features.
Every preorder of the Resident Evil 3 Remake, came with a ‘Classic Costume Pack’ which included Jill Valentine’s original costume from the 1999 game, plus Carlos Oliveira’s original hairstyle. On top of this, Best Buy offered an extra SteelBook case for every pre order purchase of the physical version of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and the PlayStation Store offered an additional Resident Evil 3 PS4 theme.
Can I play the Resident Evil 4 Remake?
The Resi 4 Remake will be available to play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game will not be releasing on previous-gen consoles (i.e. Xbox One and PlayStation 4), so if you want to play the game, and don’t yet own a next-gen machine or a PC, then you will have to upgrade, unfortunately.
We don’t currently have any official system requirements for the game if you want to play it on PC, however, you could use the Resident Evil Village recommended system requirements for a good baseline.
